it still hurts a little when I hear about another's bad breakup, especially ones involving lies. Today I heard another one. The hurt comes from giving up your trust only to find out that you've been played. I'd like to think that I'm just an eternal optimist, but others say that I'm gullible. Nothing hurts more when people you trust take advantage of your faith. It's so insulting to the person discovering the lies. Like today, I heard from this person describing the shame that i once felt. "you feel like a big loser not knowing all along."
A wise man once said this about finding "the one": find that person who will love you for who you are, hang on to that person and never let go. I guess the trick is to find someone who understands what it really means to love. In my view, you don't know what love is if you would abuse the trust of someone who loves you.
